Humility

True, deep humility
requires a secret place,
a closet,
a forest,
a quiet-alone place
God and you
You and God
alone
face to the ground
remembering your nothingness without him
Then
He comes rushing in like a flood
filling the space with love
with overwhelming acceptance
He has done it first
He stoops low to make us great
Jesus made himself
nothing
for you
for me
We are fully accepted
fully clean
fully his
because he made us his
secure until the end of time
forever
